Applique, dress, and yoga pants

Having fun playing around with applique with some torn pants...looking back I wish I would have either made this simpler or else gone all-out crazy with them. Ah well...they're pink and that's what E cares about :)

She kept making funny faces so I tickled her to get a big giggling grin:

Reading her favorite series- The Magic Tree House books:

This dress I'd made awhile back when I was starting out with knits...the neckline was all stretched out and the bodice was 3 sizes too big. I made my own puff sleeve using my patternmaking book but later realized the conversions and measurements I was using was for adults and so therefore her puff sleeve looked like I sewed some chef hats to her arm. I finally drug it out of the basket, cut the skirt off and made a new top for it. I love the new sleeve- the bodice fits great and I adore the organza trim! It'll be worn a lot this spring!

Yoga pants for older sis (the panda is the tag I made from grosgrain and canvas panda fabric from Japan...I hope to make some cute pants for Romi sometime with the pandas as the cuff :) ) I was having a bit of fun with photoshop if you couldn't tell :D

Valentine Goodies

We had fun putting these treats together...we mailed out a few and handed the rest out this week. Em had a great time making the mice...naming them and giving them ears and noses, etc. She did not however have a very good time eating one :D Ah well... Happy Valentine's Day tomorrow! Love to you all :D

Some of the latest

A great yoga/legging pattern I found for E...worked out great. I see lots more of these in the future-I can crank out a pair (sergerless at that) in probably 15-20min I'd say. Well-the V ones take a few longer...but the fold-over version is quite fast. I found my triple-stitch zigzag on the machine...how did I live without that?! Much stronger than a reg. zigzag- great for hemming without a twin needle and for attaching elastic and the like.

E's new robe...her last one was getting quite short! This one is nice and long and cozy- from a faux fur...I forget what they term the fabric. I made another one for a Christmas exchange with her penpal out of the same fabric but with funky cats on it.

I'm sure you all think I'm quite weird for always doing underwear posts...it seems quite normal for my sewing site! She was running low...many of hers were getting ridiculously small. These were from a RTW pair I'd made a pattern from awhile back...all sorts of different trimmings and finishes. We love the lace ones best- stretch lace is so comfy. Her fav. one fabric-wise is the ballerinas b/c of the Nutcracker :)

Lastly- the soccer dress for my niece Romi. Her Daddy is a soccer freak and it's fun to indulge those sorts of things :D If I had it to redo I'd take away the pocket binding...looked great before but once it was on I was 'eh' with it. Ah well-it really turned out quite cute and is my best Olivia yet!
